Yangkou Chemical Industrial Park is located in Rudong County, Jiangsu Province, built on the vast reclaimed tidal flats of Rudong County. It is 35 km from the county seat, 60 km from Nantong City, and 130 km from Shanghai, with nearby rural residential areas less than 5 kilometers away. It is situated in the most economically active Yangtze River Delta region of China, at a suitable distance from the city.
Rudong County is under the jurisdiction of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, located in the northeast wing of the Yangtze River Delta. It is bordered by the Yellow Sea to the east, the Yangtze River to the south, the central region of Jiangsu to the west, and the Eurasian Continental Bridge to the north, making its geographical advantages very prominent.
Rudong has a history of over a thousand years and a rich cultural heritage of river and sea. It is one of the earliest counties in the country to open up to the outside world, having successively ranked among the top 100 counties in comprehensive strength, the top 100 star counties, the top 100 counties in science and technology, and the well-off counties in Jiangsu Province. It is also one of the counties (cities) in Jiangsu Province with the highest education level and the best public security.
The Yangkou Port, an international deep-water port under construction in Rudong, with a capacity of 200,000 tons, will become a transit base for bulk materials such as metallurgy, ores, and coal in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, as well as an industrial base for petrochemicals, LNG, gas power plants, and modern shipbuilding. It aims to become a new coastal port city integrating port, industry, and trade.
